First Monday of the Month In the room that laughing was invented for... Leeds' Comedy scene has it all covered, Mondays included. So 2009 brings with it a further addition to an already thriving city scene. The first Monday of the month will see the Adelphi's 'You're 'aving a Giraffe' Comedy Club slot in nicely alongside Leeds' current stalwarts. Adelphi Quiz Night
It has become somewhat, an institution of sorts, over the last year has the Adelphi Quiz! Getting busier every week with a hardcore of regulars constantly challenging the compere's questions, not to mention those passing through who are randomly lucky to find their specialist subject of Australian Soaps or the like! So join us for sh!ts, giggles and the obligotary trivia with your hosts Gav & Matt. Test your knowledge with five rounds of Current affairs, Popular Culture, General Knowledge and er, the damn right obscure! For the chance to win you and your mates a £30 bar tab! So we got this room, yeah. Just a room above a pub. But it's got someat a bit more to it, it's a bit special - like all rustic, homely, warm and atmospheric; and it feels like it's ours. Even better is, it's above the Adelphi. So we decided to do something. We only went and took back Fridays. No more birthdays and wedding parties. Fridays are for everyone. Fridays are Floorplay. Floorplay is.... ...a rotation of aural pleasure. Featuring Atmosphere Technicians, schooled around the City (Inc: Bad Robot; Fuzzy Logic; Gigantic; rOBot rOCk; Wax:On etc...). The calibre and portfolio is ever progressing. You may not know who. You probably won't know what. That's for us to worry about. But you'll know it's for you.
